Summary
The Premise
A broke, lonely college guy accidentally swallows a fox spirit’s stolen treasure and ends up with a very hungry girl living in his apartment. Li Yundong stumbles home drunk after his twenty-first rejection of the year and picks up an injured Japanese Spitz outside his door. The dog is really Su Chan, a three-tailed fox spirit on the run with the Renyuan Jindan, a pill she stole to jump to six tails. To hide its aura from the Cultivators hunting her, she hides it in his mouth, but he gulps it down with a swig of instant noodle soup. He sleeps for three days while his body is rebuilt, and she decides to train him and then drain the pill’s power by sleeping with him once he reaches the Zhuji phase.
The Protagonist & Stakes
Li Yundong is a chubby, average-looking sophomore whose parents both left him, and he’s become the campus laughing stock after a video of his failed confession to Zhou Qin goes viral. He doesn’t know the Jindan made him ridiculously strong, so he nearly chokes out a jock in a fit of rage, then hauls a man off the ground and jams a knife three inches into cement at the market. Su Chan, who barely understands the mortal world, wins him over with puppy-dog eyes, though she still mumbles that she’ll suck him dry later. Her guilt is already creeping in, and his class credits are on the line after he keeps skipping and getting thrown out of lectures.
