Chapter 862: Chapter 281: Dabo Canned Food Factory, The Miserable Yu Yong! (Part 5)

Boom!

The black long blade sliced a faint dark light through the air. Yu Yong could only twist his body to barely dodge, but Liu Bi’s left hand, the one not holding the knife, suddenly shot out from his armpit and slammed an uppercut into Yu Yong’s chin.

Crack.

A crisp sound of bone breaking rang out. Even with his body enhanced several times over by the Ghost Shadow Spider, Yu Yong still couldn’t withstand that blow. His body traced an awkward arc through the air and his back crashed heavily into the ground.

The searing pain from his jaw made him let out a muffled groan, but in the next second, his twisted mandible reset at a speed visible to the naked eye. The protruding joints under his skin writhed a few times and actually returned to normal.

He suddenly flipped over and sprang to his feet, his pupils rolling with a terrifying murderous gleam. The body modified by the Ghost Shadow Spider erupted with shocking potential, the air currents around him warping from his abrupt burst of speed.

He tapped the ground with the tip of his toe, spiderweb-like cracks instantly spreading out over the floor, and his whole body turned into an afterimage, shooting straight at Liu Bi.

“Angry now?” Liu Bi grinned, baring his teeth, and advanced instead of retreating.

With his post-modification physique, Yu Yong’s speed was at least more than twice Liu Bi’s, and his strength was easily enough to flip a vehicle.

Just as he hesitated over whether to pull his strength a little, at the instant his fist was about to hit Liu Bi’s face, Liu Bi suddenly seemed to shrink a bit shorter, spun his body, and the black long blade swept past Yu Yong’s waist with a whistling whoosh, the sharp sound of the blade cleaving the air stabbing at the eardrums.

Yu Yong’s heart jolted, and he instinctively twisted his body to pursue, his arm whipping out sideways like a lash.

This strike carried a howling gust; an ordinary person would have their bones shattered even by the shockwave. But Liu Bi’s footwork was ghostlike—his left toe lightly tapped the ground, his body forcibly rising half a foot diagonally upward, just enough to evade that sweeping blow.

Then his right leg bent at the knee, borrowing the momentum of the rise, and his right fist smashed hard into Yu Yong’s shoulder blade.

With a dull “thump,” Yu Yong felt as if the bone in his scapula had been hit by a sledgehammer; a stabbing pain exploded there on the spot. Yet before he could catch his breath, the damaged bone had already started rapidly repairing itself.

He instinctively reached out to grab Liu Bi’s wrist, trying to counter, but Liu Bi had anticipated this. His left hand shoved the long blade forward, the tip of the knife stabbing straight toward Yu Yong’s chest.

Yu Yong hurriedly jerked backward, and in that instant of dodging, Liu Bi’s left fist was already in front of his eyes, slamming heavily into his cheekbone.

Yu Yong felt his vision go black; his cheekbone collapsed in an instant, blood sliding down along his face. But the next second, the sunken cheekbone returned to its original shape.

The Ghost Shadow Spider meant he didn’t have to worry about injuries, but every single repair deepened the degree of fusion.

He couldn’t keep fooling around with this guy.

He let out a furious roar, spreading his arms wide, lunging at Liu Bi like a hunting beast, intending to trade injury for injury and lock the man in a death grip.

But Liu Bi’s steps were light; he didn’t take the bait at all, retreating like a phantom, and at the same time the long blade in his right hand drew an arc in front of him, slashing straight at Yu Yong’s face.

Yu Yong instinctively tilted his head to dodge. Seizing the chance, Liu Bi pushed off the ground with his right foot, body surging forward; his left fist slammed into Yu Yong’s lower abdomen while his right leg bent again, a vicious knee strike driving up toward Yu Yong’s ribcage.

The muscles in Yu Yong’s abdomen instantly went taut as he took the punch head-on, but he failed to avoid the knee strike. A “crack” of breaking ribs sounded; the pain made him double over, and this time, before his bones could heal, Liu Bi’s right fist had already crashed down on his back while his left leg lashed out sideways like a whip, striking his waist.

A tremendous force hit him, mixed with some strange, indescribable power.

After flipping twice in the air and hitting the ground, he was shocked to discover that his regenerative ability had actually failed.

No, not failed—was weakening!

The power given to him by the Ghost Shadow Spider was actually weakening after being struck by that Black Armor man’s force!

How was that possible?!

Seeing the two of them tangle together after barely saying a few words, Hou Genbao was already scared stupid.

What the hell were they doing?

Then he looked again at Researcher Yu—thin, weak, like some chronically ill patient—yet that durable, getting pounded back and forth like a sandbag without any reaction, and he was even more dumbfounded.

“Too weak. You’re just too damn weak. You’ve got the physique, but your technique is worse than a scavenger’s.”

Liu Bi withdrew his hands, holding the long knife horizontally in front of him.

He wiped a hand across his waist and took out some black-and-red powder, smearing it on the blade.

A faint heat began to surge, and the long knife actually ignited, burning with a strange black-green flame that made Yu Yong’s heart pound with unease.

“I’ll give you a chance to beg for mercy. Right now, tell me all your objectives, or within three moves, I’ll take your head.”

Arrogant bastard!

You think you’re invincible? You think…who the hell do you think you are?

Yu Yong stood up, his head slightly lowered, eyes cold and sinister as he stared over.

A strange emotion began circling in his head, like a voice whispering to him: Let me loose, accept me, my power will grant you endless strength.

Even as another voice questioned him: Don’t you want freedom? Are you willing to be controlled by the infection source?

But under Liu Bi’s condescending gaze, that second voice was rapidly weakening, completely smothered by the Ghost Shadow Spider’s power.

“Infected Bodies daring to infiltrate Happiness City and go undercover—I’ve killed plenty.”

Seeing Yu Yong’s expression turn entirely vicious and poisonous,

Liu Bi stopped talking. His toe tapped lightly; the long blade in his hand gave a small tremor, and roaring flames erupted.

“But idiots as stupid as you are…you’re the first!”

“Get! Lost!” Yu Yong bellowed as well. The Shadow pinned to the ground by the small knife actually started trembling, trying to break free of the control.

Just then, though, a voice came from the Defense Communication hanging at Yu Yong’s waist.

“Yu Yong, what the hell are you doing? I just left and your fusion rate is about to go over seventy percent. You wanna get thrown back in solitary again or what?”

“And you, Ghost Shadow Spider—you wanna get dragged out and dismantled by me again, is that it?”

Huh?

The familiar voice made Liu Bi pause, his forward momentum stopping instantly.

Yu Yong’s expression changed as well; the viciousness from a second ago vanished completely. The Ghost Shadow Spider, which had still been yelling, suddenly went silent like it had met its natural enemy.

“Cheng Ye?” Liu Bi froze for a second and called out instinctively.

“Eh, Brother B, how come it’s you?”
